Dear Friend,
I hope you all had a blessed Fourth of July and were able to celebrate with your loved ones. We are thankful for all the opportunities we have been given in this great nation and are indebted to those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.
Visits Throughout the 7th District
The House has been in recess this past week, and I have been able to visit constituents and small businesses throughout the 7th district. I wanted to highlight just a few of the many visits I have enjoyed this past week. You can watch the video previewing some of my visits by clicking here.
On Monday I had a great visit at Dogwood Village in Orange County. I appreciate hearing your thoughts on how we can address the pressing issue of Medicare and Social Security going insolvent in the years ahead.
It’s always a pleasure to meet with small business owners across the district and meeting with KDR Real Estate Services in Henrico County was no exception. I value hearing your concerns about the real estate business.
I also had the opportunity to meet with Steve Corbin, another small business owner from the 7th district in Culpeper. Thanks for showing me around when I stopped by.
Hospital staff work hard each and every day to support our community. Last Monday I had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center. Thank you, we appreciate all you do.
Also on Monday, I was able to meet with Mr. Goulding, owner of Strange’s Florists in Short Pump, where we were able to discuss his perspective on small businesses and what lawmakers can be doing to help them. Thank you for your thoughts and for letting me stop in.
Summertime and Little League baseball go hand in hand, I had the privilege to meet some of Tuckahoe’s National allstar Little League team in Chick-fil-A in Henrico. Good luck on the rest of your season!
Did you know Walmart employs 5,077 people in the 7th district? I was able to learn about the great work Walmart does for the community in Culpeper by talking with employees and customers.
I was able to talk to a few constituents who were loading up on supplies for their 4th of July celebrations in Chesterfield. Great to see patriotism alive and well in Virginia’s 7th district!
It was great to hear from Jodi and Angie at Hair Productions of Salisbury about how their business is doing in Chesterfield.
Sometimes when you’re out talking to constituents, you end up taking a moment to check out the bearded dragons at the Petco in Chesterfield.
I enjoyed my time at Bedcrafters and hearing from owner Michelle Brumfield! I also enjoyed my visit with Joel, owner of Buckingham Antiques in Midlothian.
I stopped by on Tuesday to see Rena Klump and the Bella Arte Gallery in Midlothian. Beautiful work!
