HENRICO, CULPEPER, AND ORANGE COUNTIES, Va. -- Today, Congressman Dave Brat is completing another round of Mobile Office Hours in Henrico, Culpeper and Orange counties.

“The mobile office hours this August have given me an opportunity to meet with constituents across the political spectrum on a variety of issues including healthcare, immigration, the budget, tax reform and foreign policy. This civil dialogue and constructive exchange of ideas has given people who may not agree with me on an issue the opportunity to voice their concerns, get a response and ask follow-up questions,” said Congressman Brat.

Once these three counties are completed, Congressman Brat will have conducted over 14 hours of appointments with constituents at office hours in nine counties thus far in the month of August in addition to over 20 other official stops. In addition to his current August schedule, Congressman Brat has participated in over 350 official meetings and visits throughout the Seventh District since January of 2017. He has heard concerns directly from thousands and thousands of constituents across all 10 counties.

“The media may choose not to cover it, but I have kept my promise to travel throughout my district as much as possible to listen to my constituents,” said Brat.

In addition, his office has solved nearly 1,000 cases for constituents needing assistance cutting through bureaucratic red tape with the federal government and answered over 102,000 emails and letters from constituents with questions about federal legislation.

“As their representative to the federal government in Washington, it is my job to serve my constituents and to listen to them. That is what I have done, and that is what I will continue to do,” said Brat.
